Gotland County is a county of Sweden. Gotland is located in the Baltic Sea to the east of Öland, and is the largest of Sweden's islands.  

With its total area of 3,183.7 km2 (1,229.2 sq mi) the island of Gotland and the other areas of the province of Gotland make up 0.8% of Sweden's total land area, the smallest among the 21 counties in Sweden. The total population is about 60,000, two-fifths of which live in the capital city Visby.  

The island's main sources of income are agriculture along with food processing, tourism, IT solutions, design and some heavy industry such as concrete production from locally mined limestone. Most of Gotland's economy is based on small scale production.
