Feng Fei Meets Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Aktilek Musaeva
On September 10, Feng Fei, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, met in Haikou with Aktilek Musaeva, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China, and her delegation. The two sides exchanged views on implementing the important consensus reached by their countries' respective heads of state and deepening practical cooperation between Hainan and Kyrgyzstan across a range of fields.
On behalf of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hainan Province, Feng welcomed Musaeva and her delegation. He said China and Kyrgyzstan are neighbors linked by mountains and rivers and share a profound friendship. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Kyrgyzstan relations have reached new heights, while cooperation between Hainan and Kyrgyzstan has made encouraging progress.
Feng noted that developing the Hainan Free Trade Port is a major national strategy personally planned, deployed, and promoted by Chinese President Xi Jinping. On December 18 last year, the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) officially launched island-wide special customs operations, opening broad new space for Hainan to deepen exchanges and cooperation with countries and regions around the world, including Kyrgyzstan. He stated that Hainan stands ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to deepen cooperation in air transport, modern finance, economy and trade, people-to-people exchanges, and agriculture; translate cooperation initiatives into tangible results; and pursue mutually beneficial development. These efforts will contribute to substantive progress in building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future.
Musaeva commended the achievements of the Hainan FTP, praising its broad development prospects. She noted that Hainan is an important partner for Kyrgyzstan in expanding subnational cooperation with China. She expressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to work with Hainan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, serve as a bridge between the two sides, and establish a regular communication mechanism. She called for continued efforts to tap cooperation potential, expand its scope, and advance practical collaboration on direct air routes, cross-border finance, trade in agricultural products, and culture and tourism, thereby contributing to the steady and sustained development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations.
Executive Vice-Governor of Hainan, Bateer, attended the meeting.
