Bernama's Trip in Hainan
From dancing traditional dances and sipping coffee to exploring a "campus of the future"—BERNAMA journalists journeyed through two different worlds in Hainan in just one day.
In the morning at Bali Village, they were greeted by Nanyang-style architecture and the rich heritage of the overseas Chinese diaspora. A single cup of Xinglong coffee perfectly encapsulated the century-old "coffee connection" between Hainan and Malaysia. In the afternoon, the scene shifted to the Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, where students from around the globe bustled about, making the vibrant, open framework of the Free Trade Port truly palpable.
Heritage memories and an international future, all captured through the lens in a single day. Click the video to discover the "many faces of Hainan" through the eyes of these Malaysian journalists.
