New Hainan FTP Int’l Advisory Committee Holds Inaugural Meeting
The Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) International Advisory Committee Appointment Ceremony and its inaugural International Advisory Meeting were held in Haikou on June 24. Feng Fei, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, attended to confer letters of appointment and participate in the meeting.


The Hainan Free Trade Port International Advisory Committee comprises 61 Chinese and foreign experts and entrepreneurs in economics, law, finance, technology, industry, ecology, international cooperation, and other fields.

At the meeting, it was announced that Christian Bruch, President and CEO of Siemens Energy AG, would serve as the chairperson of the expert (entrepreneur) members from outside the Chinese mainland, while Michael Hart, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, Pei San Fan, Former Dean of the Monetary Authority of Singapore Academy, and Barnaby Swire, Chairman of Swire Group, would serve as vice-chairmen.





The meeting put forward opinions and suggestions on the Hainan FTP's business environment, fiscal and tax policies, trade and investment, science and technology empowerment, and ecological environment. A domestic advisory meeting was also held, during which participating experts and scholars offered suggestions to promote institutional openness and high-quality social and economic development.

Feng Fei stressed that the intellectual support provided by members of the International Advisory Committee is invaluable to the Hainan FTP's development. He hoped that during their terms of appointment, members would act collectively as a think tank, partners and liaisons, and actively offer suggestions, deepen business cooperation, promote the landing of more high-quality projects, high-end talents, and partners in Hainan, to facilitate international cooperation and two-way investment, and help link global resources.
Vice governors of Hainan Province, Bateer, Xie Jing, and Yang Guoqiang, were also in attendance.
