"Will the grain and oil products made here be sold to my country?" asked Marlon Dwight Samuels, a journalist from the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC), standing outside the intelligent production workshop of Hainan Ausca International Grain and Oil Co., Ltd.

His question echoed the curiosity shared by many reporters from the Global South countries visiting Yangpu, Hainan for the first time.

On the afternoon of November 24, the "Global South Media Hainan Tour" delegation stepped into the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, known as the "model room" of Hainan Free Trade Port, using their cameras and questions to uncover the "innovation code" behind its development.

Yangpu Exhibition Hall: Understanding Hainan Free Trade Port's "Innovation Code"

The media delegation visited the Yangpu Economic Development Zone Exhibition Hall. Through interactive displays and detailed planning content, the hall presented to foreign journalists the achievements of Yangpu as Hainan Free Trade Port's "pilot zone."

The "first-case" milestones marked along the timeline, the clear layout of the industrial models, and explanations of policies such as "zero tariffs, low tax rates, and a simplified tax system" all sparked strong interest among the reporters.

"Here, I saw with my own eyes the powerful drive behind 'high-level opening-up,'" said Anna Luisa Sánchez Miang, a journalist from Poder360 News.

"The speed of Yangpu's development is astonishing! It's not only an engine of economic growth but also a vivid display of the efficiency behind China's Free Trade Port development."

AUSCA International Oils and Grains: Policies Empower High-Quality Development

The media delegation then visited Hainan AUSCA International Oils and Grains Co., Ltd., a pilot enterprise for the country's first "processing value-added exemption from tariffs" policy, to see its intelligent production line. Through the glass wall, reporters captured scenes of robotic arms sorting with precision and fully automated filling and packaging: an up-close look at how Free Trade Port policies drive industrial upgrading.

In response to Marlon Dwight Samuels' question about the company's competitiveness and global strategy, Ausca's deputy general manager, Cao Youhua, noted that the company is leveraging the Free Trade Port's policy advantages to actively expand into markets in the Americas and the Caribbean, helping Chinese grain and oil brands reach the world.
