A press conference on the 11th China-Arab Business Conference and the 9th Investment Seminar of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum was held on April 21 in Haikou.

At the press conference, it was announced that the 11th China-Arab Business Conference and the 9th Investment Seminar will be held in Hainan from April 27 to 30.

The China-Arab States Cooperation Forum was established in 2004 with the purpose of strengthening dialogue and cooperation and promoting peace and development between China and Arab states. Its members include China and the 22 member states of the Arab League.

In 2005, with the support of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and other institutions, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) initiated the establishment of the China-Arab Business Conference to promote the in-depth development of China-Arab economic relations. Co-hosted by CCPIT, the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of the Arab Countries, and relevant Arab institutions, the conference is held every two years in turn by China and Arab nations. The People's Government of Hainan Province will join in co-hosting the 11th conference this year.

An important platform for economic and trade cooperation between China and Arab countries, the conference will bring together over a thousand representatives, including government officials, business leaders, experts, and scholars from China and Arab countries, to map out a new blueprint for economic and trade cooperation between China and the Arab countries. The choice to hold the conference in Hainan in 2025 is particularly significant as the Hainan Free Trade Port prepares to implement special customs operations, marking a new juncture in high-level opening up and high-quality development.

Held under the theme "Building Five Cooperation Frameworks and Accelerating the Construction of a Community with a Shared Future," this year's conference will delve into four key topics: "Focusing on Energy Transformation and Building an Ecological Future," "Deepening Technological Innovation and Driving Industrial Upgrading," "Promoting Cultural and Tourism Integration and Stimulating Consumer Vitality," and "Strengthening Financial Cooperation to Achieve Mutual Benefit and Win-Win Results." The four-day event, where representatives from government, industry, academia, and research are set to engage in in-depth interactions and exchanges, will encompass segments including thematic discussions, promotion sessions and roundtables, thematic exhibitions, business tours, and results presentations.

Leaders of regional organizations such as the League of Arab States and the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, as well as over ten ministerial-level officials and heads of chambers of commerce from countries including Qatar, Mauritania, Djibouti, Tunisia, South Africa, Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Egypt, and Morocco, will join over a thousand Chinese and Arab entrepreneurs for in-depth exchanges and interactive networking, spurring a "two-way race" in China-Arab cooperation.
