Liu Xiaoming meets with major exhibitors of 3rd Hainan Expo

On April 10, Liu Xiaoming, Acting Governor of Hainan Province, met in Haikou with 24 major exhibitors participating in the third China International Consumer Products Expo.

Liu introduced the latest development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He said that as the host, Hainan is striving to build a platform for global enterprises by delivering an excellent, high quality and effective Expo. During the Expo, we will hold forums to discuss how to make the most of the Expo and the FTP opening-up policies to enhance consumption supply, improve sales channels and lead consumption trend, and unleash the demand of the huge Chinese market to create new opportunities for global consumption innovation, duty-free, tourism and retail industries. Hainan sincerely invites enterprises from homd and abroad to conduct visit and discuss cooperation, increase presence in its duty-free market, strengthen business layout, and share the opportunities of the FTP development. The province will speed up the fostering of a law-based and welcoming business environment up to international standards, and provide favorable policy support and services for businesses.

Representatives from exhibitors including Kering, L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, Hugo Boss, Nestle, Tapestry, Pernod Ricard, Diageo and Tumi spoke at the meeting. They said that the Hainan Expo is a platform for companies to share the opportunities of the Chinese market and sell their consumer goods to the world. They hoped to extend exchanges with other enterprises at the Expo, increase investment in Hainan, and deepen cooperation in areas such as consumer goods retail, launch of new products and ecological conservation.
