Feng Fei meets with deputy prime minister of Laos

On April 11, Feng Fei, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, met in Haikou with Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Deputy Prime Minister of Laos, who is attending the third China International Consumer Products Expo in Hainan.

On behalf of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and the Provincial Government, Feng Fei welcomed the Lao delegation, and introduced the major achievements and development prospects of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He said that Hainan will cooperate more closely with Laos in trade, investment, tourism, agriculture and talent training, and take practical action to implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two parties and countries.

Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune expressed congratulations on the successful hosting of the third Hainan Expo. He said that revisiting Hainan after six years, he was impressed by its significant development in economy and society. Laos and Hainan have well-grounded cooperation with many advantages. He believed that more fruitful results could be achieved in trade and investment between the two sides, and hoped that direct flight services could be resumed as soon as possible to facilitate personal exchanges.

Hainan provincial leaders Bater and Gu Gang attended the meeting.
