Feng Fei meets with UAE Ambassador to China

On June 12, Feng Fei, Governor of Hainan Province, met in Haikou with Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to China.

Feng Fei welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the latest development of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP). He said that China and the UAE are comprehensive strategic partners, and the cooperation between the two countries has been continuously deepened. Dubai, as a model for the development of global free trade ports, has rich experience for Hainan to learn from. He hoped that Hainan and Dubai could build partnerships, strengthen port cooperation, establish a regular exchange mechanism, and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in greater depth and more areas.

Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri congratulated Hainan on the economic and social achievements. He said that the UAE and China have longstanding friendship, and the economic cooperation has developed steadily and achieved fruitful results. Hainan enjoys an advantageous location, and has made clear progress in the construction of the FTP, demonstrating promising prospects for future cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides enhance experience sharing in the building of free trade ports, and deliver more solid cooperation outcomes.

Vice Governor Ni Qiang and Secretary-General Fu Xuanchao of Hainan Provincial People's Government attended the meeting.

Dai Zhen, Director-General of the provincial Foreign Affairs Office, was also present.
